A box for transferring glass substrates and a package for transferring glass substrates are provided to protect glass substrates excellently, and to receive the glass substrates efficiently. A box for transferring glass substrates includes a box body(2) and a cover(50). The box body includes a box body portion(10), a glass substrate contact portion(30) and a glass substrate contact section portion(40). The box body portion and the cover are made of a thermoplastic resin foam having a bulk density of 20-300kg/m^3. The box body portion includes a rectangular bottom plate portion(11) and a side wall portion(12). The glass substrate contact portion and the glass substrate contact section portion are made of thermoplastic resin foam having a bulk density of 10-90kg/m^3. |
