A clamp for holding a panel in a flat display panel testing apparatus is provided to use a holding unit for holding the clamp through sliding movement to minimize the amount of impact transferred to a glass substrate. A plurality of clamps(C) is installed along the edge of a panel holding part(100) of a flat display panel testing apparatus. Each of the clamps is composed of a support shaft(110) installed at the edge of the panel holding part, a holding protrusion(120) installed on the support shaft, a sliding type moving protrusion(130) distanced from the holding protrusion, and a horizontal guide cylinder(140) installed at a lateral surface of the sliding type moving protrusion. The horizontal guide cylinder horizontally moves the sliding type moving protrusion.
