PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell having stable cell output, wherein a reaction distribution among stacked unit cells is uniform, and droplets are rapidly discharged from a passage groove even in a low-pressure operation at low current density. SOLUTION: This fuel cell is provided with a fuel cell stack composed by stacking a plurality of unit cells each formed by sandwiching a membrane-electrode assembly 1 from both its sides by a fuel separator plate 3 equipped with a fuel passage groove 22 and an oxidizer separator plate 2 equipped with an oxidizer passage groove 23. A fuel communication manifold penetrating in the stacking direction is formed on the membrane-electrode assemblies 1, the fuel separator plates 3 and the oxidizer separator plates 2. The fuel passage grooves are made to communicate with one another in intermediate parts thereof by the fuel communication manifold.
