SWITCHING BETWEEN BIT STREAM IN VIDEO TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoder which executes the accurate decoding of a video frame.

SOLUTION: This decoder for decoding a bit stream switched from a first video stream to a second video stream is provided with a memory for storing the decoded reference information and a predictor for forming a predictive block by using reference information stored in the memory. The decoder is provided with a converter for converting a predictive block to form a converted predictive block and an adder for adding information showing the current block to the converted predictive block to acquire added information to be used for the decoding of the current block.
