CHARACTER STRING UPDATE VALUE EVALUATION PROGRAM

A character string update value evaluation program for enabling quantitative grasp of intelligent work man-hour of the edit/update process of a character string. The character strings in a text to be compared are sorted into common part character strings having lengths greater than a threshold and noncommon part character strings. The number of edit points and the context edit distance of the edition of the original text are computed from the proportion of the common part character strings and the occurrence pattern. The number of edit points is determined from the number of elements included in the common part character string set, and the context edit distance is determined from a variation of the occurrence order of the common part character strings. The noncommon part character strings undergoes computation of a new creation percentage and analysis by N-gram. The new creation percentage is determined by the total length of the elements included in the noncommon part character string set, and the newly created part novelty is determined the nonpartial concordance rate of the elements included in a noncommon part character string set and a noncommon part character string set. The results of computation about the common and noncommon part character string sets are integrated, and the sentence update value is computed.
