PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill arranging apparatus provided with a function for separating a repair bill from the other bill. SOLUTION: The repair bill is separated from among bills inserted into the bill arranging apparatus 1 by providing a tape sensing mechanism for sensing a repaired bill. The bill arranging apparatus 1 is provided with a reject pocket 8 for accumulating bills which are determined as the repair bill by the tape sensing mechanism. The repair bill is repaired by an adhesive tape, so that the tape sensing mechanism determines whether it is the repair bill or not based on the fact that the bill is added with the adhesive tape.
