A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving emergency warning information are provided to employ a dedicated channel to allow a user to recognize the emergency warning information as fast as possible. A broadcasting signal is received. Information about a dedicated channel for emergency warning information is obtained wherein the emergency warning information is included in a channel information frame of delivering fast channel information extracted from the broadcasting signal. The information about the dedicated channel is expressed to a user. A present channel is switched into the dedicated channel according to the selection of the user. The information about the dedicated channel includes an ensemble identifier and a service identifier.
