摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording medium having a favorable transferability and, at the same time, an excellent metallic luster by a method wherein the medium is produced by successively providing a first and a second ink layers on one side of a base material under the condition that the first ink layer contains leafing type aluminum flake pigment while the second ink layer contains a non-leafing type aluminum flake pigment. SOLUTION: This recording medium consists of a base material side, the first ink layer of which contains a leafing type aluminum flake pigment, and an image receiving body side, the second ink layer of which contains a non- leaking type aluminum flake pigment. Since the aluminum flake pigment of the second ink layer on the image receiving body side is non-leafing type, the pigment is not arranged on the surface of the second ink layer but dispersed in the ink layer, resulting in obtaining a large adhesion to the image receiving body of the second ink layer and a favorable transferability. On the other hand, the aluminum flake pigment in the first ink layer, which comes to the top layer of a printed image after being transferred, is arranged on the surface of the first ink layer, since the pigment is leafing type one, resulting in obtaining a metallic luster printed image having a small diffused deflection of light.
