<p>It is an object of the present invention to obviate a risk that the design of the front panel of an indoor unit 2 of an air conditioner 1 may be hampered by mounting portions 71, 72, 73, 74, and the like attached to a main body 25a. The indoor unit 2 of the air conditioner 1 comprises a main body 25a, a front panel 26b and a design panel 83. The front panel 26b is opaque and is integrally molded with the mounting portion 74. A design panel 80 is transparent and is attached to the front panel 26b. In addition, this design panel 26b is provided with a design layer 27b on a reverse side surface 262 thereof.
