A protocol converting device and a copyright management system converting device are provided. The protocol converting device enables devices to control each other, wherein the devices are connected through a plurality of networks set up with different communication protocols and control methods. The copyright management system converting device enables contents to be reviewed audio-visually, wherein copyrights of the contents are each protected by different copyright management systems connected with networks set up with different communication protocols. This converting device is connected with first and second networks, converts commands or data received from a device on one network to commands or data for the other network and transmits the converted commands or data to a device on the other network. Further, it is possible to easily review new contents subjected to copyright protection by different copy right management systems each connected with networks.
