PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hemolysis (destruction of red blood cell components) by bringing the distal end of a puncture needle 9 close to the inner wall of a vacuum blood collection tube 7 when injecting the collected blood into the vacuum blood collection tube 7. SOLUTION: This blood collection tube holder 1 supporting the puncture needle 9 to its inside for preventing a needle prick accident includes a parallel side wall 6a formed in parallel to the direction of the puncture needle 9, and a sloping side wall 6b formed to have a prescribed angle thereto. Also, the sloping side wall is so formed that, when the vacuum blood collection tube 7 is inserted into the innermost of the blood collection tube holder 1 to abut on the sloping side wall 6b, the distal end of the puncture needle 9 is brought close to the inner wall of the vacuum collection tube 7.
