<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a threshold for determining the acceptance/rejection of a seal obtained by an operation of a seal mechanism in comparison with initially recorded reference operational data to a re-start after stopping a packaging operation in an automatic packaging machine having the seal mechanism driven by a servo motor. <P>SOLUTION: After stopping the operation of an automatic packaging machine, a longitudinal seal part which is already formed by a longitudinal sealing means is cooled, and increased in hardness to show a tendency that the longitudinal seal part is erected from a laying state in a packaging bag. After re-starting the packaging operation, when transverse sealing is directly applied to a cylindrical packaging material by a transverse sealing means in the crossing direction across the longitudinal seal part, the threshold is changed, and it is avoided to be determined that the longitudinal seal part is a foreign matter even if a driving current is increased when crushing the longitudinal seal part in a cooled state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
