PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a DC/DC converter at a high-efficiency operating point. SOLUTION: This control unit for DC/DC converter includes a determination device 5 for determining an idle stop of an engine; and a control device 5 for controlling an output current of the DC/DC converter 2 at such a predetermined current ID0 that the DC/DC converter exercises the maximum efficiency, when the determination device 5 determines that the engine is at an idle stop (constant output current control), as well as for controlling an output voltage of the DC/DC converter 2 at a predetermined voltage VBa for maintaining the battery performance of a second battery, when the determination device 5 determines that the engine is not at an idol stop (constant output voltage control).
