摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed area extraction method capable of surely extracting a face inside a closed area by a low workload. SOLUTION: In the closed area extraction method, the face included in a specific closed area is extracted as a closed area component face from a model constructed of a plurality of the faces. For extracting a plurality of the faces belonging to a specific closed area, an operator needs to designate the faces positioned on the boundary of the closed area, that is, in the outer circumference one by one. In this closed area extraction method, the operator inserts a virtual boundary face in the boundary position of the objective closed area and designates the plurality of the faces including the virtual boundary face as the faces existing on the boundary of the closed area. Therefore, when the virtual boundary face alone is designated, a result equal to that given by designation of the plurality of the faces, which are the multiple faces existing on the boundary of the closed area, covered by the virtual boundary face can be obtained.
