PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile diagnostic method and automobile control device. SOLUTION: In this automobile diagnostic method, a plurality of characteristic values used for controlling an automobile are adapted, and the adapted adaptation characteristic value is respectively compared with a threshold value, and when the adaptation characteristic value exceeds the threshold value, an error report us generated. The adaptation characteristic value is further standardized, and standardized characteristic values A, B, C and D are formed. A component having an error is discriminated in the case of the automobile, by simultaneously taking into consideration a plurality of standardized characteristic values A, B, C and D.
