A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form ultraviolet hardening sealant, used for temporarily bonding first and second mother substrates, in edges of the first and second mother substrates in a line structure not to be overlapped with a scribe line, thereby stably fixing the first and second mother substrates. A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprises the steps of: forming a predetermined thin film structure divided into plural cell areas on a lower mother substrate(10); forming a thin film structure divided into plural cell areas on an upper mother substrate(20) as corresponding to the thin film structure of the lower mother substrate; applying sealant(50) to the girth of the entire thin film structure of the lower mother substrate in a breaking line form; hardening the sealant; and forming a scribe line(30) for breaking the upper and lower mother substrates into the cell areas, wherein the scribe line is formed in the upper and lower mother substrates. |
