PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict rupture of, for example, a spot weld zone of an automobile member, in finite element method analysis by a computer. SOLUTION: A plate thickness, a nugget diameter of the spot welding, material strength of a parent material part, a part or the whole of rupture elongation, and either or both of a welding interval of a joint and a joint length orthogonal to the welding interval are input into a computer, based on a cross type tension test and/or a shearing type tension test, in a spot welding joint. The computer calculates a rupture strain parameter of the spot welding part in the cross type tension and/or the shearing type tension from input data, stores the rupture strain parameter of each steel kind in a parameter storage means, and introduces the rupture strain parameter stored in the parameter storage means into a rupture prediction formula acquired by modeling deformation in the periphery of the spot welding by a finite element method to determine the rupture of the spot welding part.
