The present invention relates to a sealing shaped piece made of foamy material with closed cells as well as to a process for producing thereof, wherein the foamy material bulk density is in the range of 50 to 250 kg/me3 and compression strength at 10 percent of compacting less than 80 kPa. The production process is characterized in that the foamy material is first produced as a block that is then divided into individual layers, optionally individual strips. Said individual layers, optionally individual strips are then put into a mold, which is then closed and heated up in order to deform the individual layer optionally the individual strip. |
