A DMB receiver with a multiplex listening function for a DMB audio and a method thereof are provided to offer the dual output of DMB so that two people can watch or listen to the DMB and a person, who does not like broadcasting the person currently watches and listens to, can listen to desired audio broadcasting through a dual output mode. A baseband unit(50) detects and outputs the broadcasting data of two broadcasting channels from DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) data under predetermined control. A communication unit(60,60') receives the broadcasting data and outputs the broadcasting data to an external output device. A multimedia processor(10) receives two broadcasting channel data by controlling the baseband unit in a dual output mode and encodes the two broadcasting channel data according to DMB standards, outputs a broadcasting data to a display device or a speaker, and outputs the other broadcasting data to the external output device. |
