A variable valve lifting apparatus is provided to achieve improved fuel efficiency by reducing frictional force between a cam and a roller and extending a roller spring during low lifting. A variable valve lifting apparatus includes a cam(4), a rocker arm(2) which rotates by the rotation of the cam and presses a valve(10), and a lift adjusting unit for adjusting the height of a roller(3) which rotates by the cam. The lift adjusting unit operates by a hydraulic mechanism. The hydraulic mechanism includes a cylinder which operates by hydraulic pressure, and the lift adjusting unit includes an elastic member interposed between a rod(7) of the cylinder and one end of the rocker arm. The lift adjusting unit includes a first link(34) connected to the rod of the cylinder and a second link(35) connected to one end of the rocker arm from the roller. |
