A plasma display panel and a method for forming an electrode are provided to prevent over-development of an inclined portion or short of a straight portion by extending a dark electrode of a display region to the inclined portion. A substrate has a display region(P), a terminal region positioned on an edge of the display region, and a connecting region(Q) connecting the display region with the terminal region. A transparent electrode, dark electrodes(137a,137b) and light electrodes are deposited on the display region to form straight portions(181a,181b). The dark electrodes of the straight region are extended to the connecting region, and the light electrodes are extended from surfaces of the dark electrodes, thereby forming inclined portions(182a,182b). The dark electrodes are extended towards a surface of the terminal region to form terminal portions(183a,183b).
