A drum type washing machine is provided to reduce power loss by directly transferring drive force of a motor to a drum and to prevent thermal deformation of a bearing housing by forming the bearing housing with a metal material. A drum type washing machine comprises a motor having a stator(6) and a rotor(5), a bearing housing(7), a tub(2), and a hub unit(2b). The bearing housing contains a bearing. The bearing housing supports a rotation shaft of the rotor. The tub stores water. The tub has a base unit(2a) wherein the stator is directly connected. The hub unit is projected at an outer surface of the base unit. The hub unit has a periphery surface to bear with rotation repulsive force of the stator. |
