FIELD: chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing the reaction solution consisting of tetraethoxysilane and addition of silver nitrate, and solution is remained for maturation. The matured solution is applied on backing and dried. Prepared films possess sensitivity to ammonia in its concentration 10-20 ppm and at unit working temperature 20-50oC. Proposed method for preparing gas-sensitive material allows simplifying process in preparing sensors for ammonia. ^ EFFECT: improved preparing method.
