PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive torque estimating device for a vehicle improving traveling safety of the vehicle. SOLUTION: An estimated drive torque calculating part 120 which is this drive torque estimating device is constituted such that a torque composition part 154 calculates first estimated drive torque as an estimated drive torque of an engine, in the case where a traveling state determination part 155 determines that a transmission mechanism is in an in-gear state, rotational frequency of an output shaft of a torque converter detected by a rotational frequency detection sensor is below predetermined rotational frequency and rotating speed of wheels detected by a wheel speed sensor exceeds predetermined rotating speed, even if a slip rate of the torque converter is below a predetermined value and the first estimated drive torque calculated by a first drive torque calculating part 121 is larger than second estimated drive torque calculated by a second drive torque calculating part 122.
