EXTRUSION MOLDED BODY AND SEAL MEMBER FOR AUTOMOBILE USING THE SAME EXTRUSION MOLDED BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion molded body produced by crosslink of hydrosilicone and a seal member for automobiles using the extrusion molded body.

SOLUTION: A glass run is attached as a seal member to an automobile door. The glass run is equipped with an extrusion molded component and a mold forming component. When producing the extrusion molded body 40 which becomes the extrusion molded component, an ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer (EPDM) rubber is used as a material. The EPDM rubber material contains an SiH group-containing compound having two or more SiH groups in one molecule as a crosslinking agent and further contains a reaction catalyst composed of a platinum group element and a reaction inhibitor. In a production process, an intermediate molded body 32 of the extrusion molded body 40 is extruded from a rubber extruder 31, and in a crosslinking process, crosslink of the intermediate molded body 32 with hydroxysilicone is carried out. Average wall thickness of seal lip after crosslink and after cooling becomes 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm.
