PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding machine which enables setting and continuous bookbinding of printed matter for a plurality of copies. SOLUTION: A paper feeding device 3 mounted on the main body 2 of the bookbinding machine is equipped with a plurality of tiers of paper trays 6-11, and a punching unit and a binder fitting unit are incorporated in the main body. When the printed matter for one copy is set in each paper tray and a start button is pushed, a control part takes the printed matter for one copy into the main body individually in the sequence from the first paper tray 6, subjects it to punching and binder fitting and then discharges it. In the case when a continuous operation mode is selected, a bookbinding processing is repeated by supplying afresh the printed matter for one copy to the paper tray wherefrom the printed matter is cleared, and thus copies in the number more than that of the paper trays can be bound continuously.
