A personal portable terminal having a battery on which an IC chip is mounted is provided to reduce the thickness and weight of a main body by making the IC chip installable in the battery and to enhance the portability of the portable terminal. A personal portable terminal having a battery on which an IC chip is mounted comprises a main body(100) and a battery(200). The main body(100) is communicable. The battery(200), combined with the main body(100), supplies power for the main body(100). The battery(200) includes an IC chip(310), a control terminal, and plural transmission terminals(235). The IC chip(310) is installed at a surface where the battery(200) is combined with the main body(100). The information, communicated with an external terminal by the IC chip(310), can be traffic fare, card settlement money, telephone fare or personal information. The control terminal for electrically being connected to the IC chip(310) is formed in a holding recess on the battery for holding the IC chip(310). The transmission terminals(235) are for transmitting the data of the IC chip(310) to the main body(100). Plural receipt terminals(135) are formed at the main body(100) for receiving the data of the IC chip(310) from the transmission terminals(235).
