PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming filtration device easy and safe in filter replacement, requiring no air venting in a pump nor priming water. SOLUTION: This self-priming filtration device comprises a pump part, a self-priming pump of valveless constitution with no check valve, provided with a suction port, a suction chamber, an impeller, a self-priming chamber and a discharge port in this order from the upstream to downstream side of a flow passage, the suction and discharge ports being disposed at upper positions of the suction chamber and impeller, and the self-priming chamber being disposed at an upper position of the suction port and discharge port; a filtration column disposed in the flow passage between the self-priming chamber and discharge port and at an upper position of the self-priming chamber; and a filter disposed at a position inside the filtration column and above a remaining liquid level in the pump when the pump part is stopped.
