REAGENT FOR ASSAYING ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID ANTIBODY

It is intended to disclose a reagent for assaying an antiphospholipid antibody by which the efficiency of immobilizing a highly hydrophobic phospholipid antigen on an insoluble support can be further elevated compared with the existing methods and an assay at a higher sensitivity, which has been strongly required in the clinical field, can be established. Namely, a reagent for assaying an antiphospholipid antibody composed of a phospholipid immobilized on an insoluble support having at least one surface modifier bonded to the surface thereof, wherein: (1) the surface modifier is an alkylamine having from 14 to 22 carbon atoms and the insoluble support is latex particles; or (2) the surface modifier is at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkylamine having from 14 to 22 carbon atoms, polylysine, betaine-modified polylysine, a polyaminoalkyl(meth)acrylic acid having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and a mixture of two or more of the same and the insoluble support is gelatin particles.
