PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control system allowing reduction of a load of a controller to reduce cost required for system management. SOLUTION: This controller for the device control system has: electronic equipment connected to a first electric communication line; the controller performing communication with the electronic equipment via the lines; and a terminal device performing communication with the controller via the second electric communication line. The controller has a mapping table showing correspondence relation between identification information of the electronic equipment and each IP address. When controlling/monitoring the electronic equipment, the terminal device designates the IP address corresponding to the electronic equipment to the controller via the second electric line, and the controller controls/monitors the electronic equipment having the identification information corresponding to the IP address in reference to the table according to the designation of the IP address from the terminal device. The controller for the device control system has the mapping table, a group pattern management block, a schedule management block, an IP filter management block, an authentication management block, and a control block.
