PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which is provided with a function capable of calculating the total amount of paper money in hand and can identify whether or not the paper money inserted when calculating the total amount of the paper money in hand is fraudulent paper money. SOLUTION: The game machine 1 comprises a paper money insertion port 535 for receiving the insertion of two or more sheets of the paper money, a paper money processor CPU 550 for calculating the total amount of the inserted paper money by discriminating the kind of the paper money inserted from a paper money insertion means and counting the number of sheets of the paper money and displaying the calculated total amount of the paper money at a liquid crystal display device 5, and a paper money identification sensor 542 for identifying whether or not it is valid paper money.
