A manhole cover locking device is provided to fix a manhole cover on a manhole support simply using a locking member simultaneously with seating it on a manhole support and to open the manhole cover simply by separating a locking unit. A manhole cover locking device contains a manhole support(100) installed at an underground entrance, a manhole cover(200) opening and closing an opening of the manhole support, a lock chamber(300) formed on the manhole support and having inner walls with a pair of guide grooves(310,320) and circular grooves(330,340) connected with the guide grooves vertically, a locking member(400) provided in the lock chamber and having rectangular projections(420,430) slid along the guide grooves and placed on the circular grooves to be rotatable, a seating projection(410) projected toward the center of the manhole support and rotated while moving downward as the manhole cover placed on a seating portion(110) of the manhole support is pressed, and a locking end(440) suspended on a groove(210) formed on the outer edge of the manhole cover, and a locking unit(500) provided in the lock chamber to fix the locking member and having a rotation control pin(510) guided along a locking groove formed on the locking member and fixed to a pin groove on the bottom of the lock chamber. |
