<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and correctly performing discrimination by reducing a measurement error in a surface state discriminating device which receives the scattered reflection light of the light irradiated from a light emitting element and discriminates the surface state of an object to be measured, based on the intensity of the scattered reflection light. <P>SOLUTION: The first light emitting element 131 irradiates a printed matter 500 (the object to be measured) viewed from a measurement window 111 with the light. The second light emitting element 132 irradiates the printed matter 500 with the light for complementing the light radiated by the first light emitting element 131. A light receiving element 121 receives the scattered reflection light, which is obtained by the scattering and reflection of the light radiated against the printed matter 500 viewed from the measurement window 111, by the first and second light emitting elements 131, 132, and outputs an electric signal indicating the strength of the received scattered reflection light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
