PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio transmitter/receiver, capable of transmitting audio/video data (AV data) or the like by radio communication, which can prevent an external AV apparatus connected to the radio transmitter/receiver from being misoperated, by monitoring a remote control signal from a remote controller, which the external AV apparatus receives. SOLUTION: The external apparatus, connected to the radio transmitter/receiver, is inhibited from being controlled by the remote control signal transmitted from the remote controller and is controlled, by only a remote control signal transmitted from a remote control signal transmission means provided in the radio transmitter/receiver.
