<p>A planar metal platen (1) facing an ink jet recording head (2) for ejecting solvent-based ink is fixed to a metal frame (4) through support members (9) molded of polyphenylene sulfide containing glass fiber, the platen (1) not coming into direct contact with the frame (4). The platen (1) is provided with a heater (7) mounted thereto for quickly drying ink on a recording medium on the platen (1). Each of the supporting members (9) is fixed to the frame (4) by a bolt (10) passing through an elongated hole (9a), and by shifting a position of the bolt (10) in the elongated hole (9a), a relative position of the support members (9) and the platen (1) supported by the support members (9), and the frame (4) and the ink jet recording head (1) supported thereby can be adjusted. Consequently, transfer of heat from the heater to the platen is suppressed and partial temperature difference of the platen is suppressed, thereby enabling favorable recording.</p> |
