PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for gathering soil easily extracting housed soil and having a high convenience. SOLUTION: The device 1 for gathering soil is composed of a cartridge 3 for housing gathered soil on the inside, a holding arm 23 for fixing the cartridge 3 at a lower-side place and a cylinder section 2 consisting of an external cover 9 for protecting the cartridge 3. The device 1 for gathering soil is further composed of a transmitting section 4 for transmitting a propulsive force into a ground to the cylinder section 2, a joint member 5 for connecting the transmitting section 4 and the cylinder section 2 and an O-ring 6 for sealing the inner periphery of an external cover 9 and the outer periphery of the cartridge 3. The device 1 for gathering soil is further composed of a flange member 7 for fixing the place of the O-ring 6 and a mouthpiece 8 or the like for facilitating a propulsion into the ground while smoothly forwarding gathered soil to the cartridge 3.
