PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher which can eliminate any unwashed part and a reduction of water used for washing by improving capability for washing dishes. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes: a pump control circuit 12 for driving a water supply pump 3 till a first amount of supply of water is supplied to a washing tub 4, and then, intermittently driving the water supply pump 3 a plurality of times so as to increase the water amount step by step (the second and third amounts of supply of water); and a heater control circuit 7 for controlling a heater 5 so as to allow the water to be at 90°C when a first amount of supply of water is supplied to the washing tub 4 and performing control to allow the water to be at 60°C whenever the water amount is increased in the washing tub 4. The pump control circuit 12 rotates the washing pump 10 at a rotation frequency of Ne1 in a range to allow warm water to be injected from a washing nozzle 11 not to hit the dishes when the first amount of supply of water is supplied to the washing tub 4, and then, changes the number of revolutions of the washing pump 10 whenever the water amount of the washing tub 4 is increased with the number of revolutions being larger than the number of revolutions Ne1 as the lowest number of revolutions (Ne2, Ne3).
