<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To independently set a wheel steering angle and manual torque in a steering wheel. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 1 to be operated by this method, the steering wheel 2 gives steering wheel angleδ<SB>S</SB>as a degree against a desirable wheel steering angleδ<SB>Fm</SB>of steered wheels 5a and 5b to generate auxiliary angleδ<SB>M</SB>. In order to find input angleδ<SB>G</SB>of a steering transmitting device 4 of the steering device 1, the auxiliary angleδ<SB>M</SB>is overlapped with the steering wheel angleδ<SB>S</SB>, and the input angleδ<SB>G</SB>of the steering transmitting device 4 is converted to the corrected wheel steering angleδ<SB>Fm</SB>of the wheels 5a and 5b to utilize an electric servo device 12. The electric servo device 12 is utilized to form the desirable wheel steering angleδ<SB>Fm</SB>of the wheels 5a and 5b independently of a driver, and the overlap of the auxiliary angleδ<SB>M</SB>is utilized to form the predetermined manual torque in the steering wheel 2 in relation to the driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
