PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer of an instrument which can prevent the occurrence of irregularities in light emission due to turning. SOLUTION: The pointer 2 for use in a speed meter or the like is attached to the output shaft of a movement and comprises a mounting section 23 which serves as a rotational center, when the output shaft rotates, and a pointing section 27 from the mounting section 23 from the mounting section 23. The mounting section 23 is provided with a plurality of light-receiving surfaces 25a, 25b, 25c which receive light from a plurality of LEDs, arranged at regular intervals in the circumferential direction with the output shaft as the center and a light-receiving section 24b, having a plurality of reflecting surfaces 26a, 26b, 26c which reflect light incident from the light-receiving surfaces 25a, 25b, 25c toward the pointing section 27.
