PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest device capable of rotating from a generally horizontal use position to retracting positions of upward stand or downward handstand with a simple structure finely adjusting a use angle near a horizon, quietly/smoothly operating, and having excellent handling property, safety, durability. SOLUTION: The armrest device comprises a sawtooth shaped lock teeth locking a main body at a predetermined angle; an elastic member energizing the lock teeth to mesh each other; a guide having a plurality of guide grooves shaped in arcuate form of predetermined length which is coaxially with a supporting shaft, and provided on either one of a rotating side member or a fixing side member; a plurality of sliding pieces sliding in the guide grooves; and a plurality of engaging protrusions provided on the other of the rotating side member or the fixing side member so as to engage with the sliding pieces. A plurality of stepped portions with different height are formed on the guide. The engaging protrusions abut on the stepped portions with different height, thereby reciprocating the fixing side member in an axial direction to engage with the lock teeth or release from the engagement.
