DISPOSABLE TANGENTIAL FLOW FILTRATION DEVICE HOLDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tangential flow filtration device eliminating the need for cleaning and validation steps when replacing a filter medium.

SOLUTION: The tangential flow filtration device is provided with liners between a filtration element and the top and bottom holders. The liners incorporate the flow channels and inlet and outlet ports in place of the flow channels and inlet and outlet ports present in the conventional manifolds. The liners are made of an inexpensive material and therefore are disposable after a single use, making it more cost effective to dispose of them than to clean the conventional manifolds.
