Disclosed is an axial pin which is preferably to be used as a tie rod component and comprises at least one subarea that is embodied as a defined bending point when a predetermined critical pressure is applied to the axial pin. Said subarea (8) is provided with several axial grooves (11) which are arranged next to each other at a very short distance and are structurally compressed by means of a rolling process. The cross section at the bottom of said grooves is smaller than the cross sections of the sections (9, 10) that laterally adjoin the subarea (8).
