PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, in particular, to provide an array substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device achieving high picture quality, and a method of manufacturing the substrate. SOLUTION: The array substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device is manufactured through four-mask steps and has a structure that a semiconductor layer is exposed at both sides of a data line. The substrate is characterized in that: first, a first blocking pattern which blocks light is formed under the semiconductor layer; and second, a second blocking pattern which blocks influence of the semiconductor layer is formed over the data line while coming into contact with the data line. By the first and second characteristics, a liquid crystal panel of high picture quality preventing wavy noise can be manufactured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
