摘要 929,100. Motor driving arrangements. W. KOHLHAGEN. Oct. 17, 1961 [Oct. 19, 1960], No. 37214/61. Class 35. [Also in Group XXIV] Noise from a synchronous motor having a toothed gear drive is reduced by forming the first or second gears of the drive from resilient rubber-like material. Figs. 1 and 2 show a synchronous clock-type motor comprising a coil 22 wound on a ferromagnetic core 20 attached to a ferromagnetic housing 16. Pole plates 24, 26 are respectively attached to the housing 16 and the core 20. Polepieces 30, 32 formed in the plates 24, 26 form an interdigitated field structure. A permanent magnet rotor 14 housing polepieces f1, f2 is carried by a shaft 34 journalled in bearings 38 and supported by a plug 40. The space 36 is filled with lubricant. A Neoprene pinion 46 is forced over the end of shaft 34 and engages a metallic gear 48. The positions of gears 46, 48 may be interchanged. In Fig. 4, the shank 56b of the Neoprene pinion 46b forms a bush attaching the rotor 14b to the shaft 34b. The axis of shaft 34b is preferably so close to that of the gear 48b that the toothed end 58b of the pinion becomes axially flexed when the gears are meshed. This reduces operating noise. In Fig. 6 (not shown) the rotor is pivoted on a fixed stub shaft projecting from the core 20. Preventing incorrect rotation.-In Fig. 7, the Neoprene pinion 46e carries a lug 111 arranged to engage a spring finger 114. If the motor rotates in the wrong (clockwise) direction, the shoulder 112 runs up against the end of the spring finger 114, the rebound correcting the direction of rotation.
