<p>The place has a battery charging device (2) for charging a rechargeable electrical battery e.g. battery of an electric vehicle. A safety box (3) is arranged in the battery charging device. The box comprises a wall (4), which is partially made up of a fire protection layer (5). The fire protection layer is partially made up of fiber cement or silicate. The box includes a ventilation opening and/or a fan for aeration and/or deaeration.
