The method involves determining a correction value at a calibration body (1) for distributedly arranged calibration points (8, 9, 10, 11). Another correction value of a calibration point (13) is determined at the calibration body, if the correction value is not available for a measuring point (12) and a maximum measuring error is larger than a maximum permissible measuring error under consideration of the former correction value. An independent claim is also included for a device for spatial measurement of workpieces at a machine tool.
