Self-locking link between a flat piece and a rod with a spherical end

The device has struts (31, 32) with ends that are connected by an arm. A cage (1) is rigidly fixed to a pedal arm. A hook (3) is fastened to the cage and encloses a spherical end (5). The hook has studs (23, 24) that are engaged in recesses (11, 12) of the cage. The arm has elastic tabs provided for moving the hook away from the cage for maintaining the studs to be supported on corresponding edges of the recesses in which the studs are engaged. The tabs comprise free ends spaced from the arm along a longitudinal direction, where the tabs form an open V shape.
