PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of certainly preventing electric noise between a control unit, and an electric motor and a torque sensor by making a connecting distance between both shortest; and minimizing electric loss by minimizing electric resistance. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises a steering column including a steering shaft 2 to which steering torque is transmitted, and an electric motor 5 transmitting steering assisting force to the steering shaft through a deceleration mechanism in a deceleration gear box 4. A control unit 19 including a circuit substrate on which a control circuit drive controlling the electric motor 5 is packed is installed on the deceleration gear box 4. Connecting terminals 5c, 5d of the electric motor 5 are electrically and directly connected to the control unit 19, and connecting terminals 15c to 15f of a torque sensor 15 included in the gear box 4 are electrically and directly connected.
