PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing failure caused by insufficient setting of fences. SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 is provided with a paper feed cassette 5 freely pulled out with respect to a device body 2, a pair of side fences 19a and 19b and an end fence 20 movably arranged on the feed cassette 5, and a size detection means 35 for detecting a size of a sheet S on the paper feed cassette 5 from a position of the respective fences. The image forming device 1 is further provided with a storage means 41 for storing the size detected by the size detection means 35, and a control means 40 for comparing the size before pulling out stored in the storage means 41 and the size detected after setting again when the paper feed cassette 5 is set in the device body 2 again, detecting that at least one position of the respective fences is moved from an initial position before pulling out when the sizes are different from each other, and displaying the movement on a display means 42.
