<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for ceramic green sheet capable of giving the ceramic green sheet having moderate tensile strength and elongation at break, causing no elongation in peeling a carrier sheet and slight in foam content. <P>SOLUTION: The binder for ceramic green sheet comprises a copolymer that is obtained by copolymerization of a total of 100 wt.% of (a) 3 wt.% or greater of a hydroxyl-containing (meth)acrylate monomer, (b) 1 wt.% or greater of a polymerizable monomer having in the molecule a nitrogen atom-containing unsaturated bond and (c) an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer, wherein the total amount of the components(a) and (b) stands at 20 wt.% or greater.
